TOP DESTINATIONS
Roman Amphitheatre - Pula- Imagine the blood sweat and tears of bloody gladiators
battling to the death during the 1st century. This huge structure seated
more than 20 000 spectators in its heyday. Is now the venue for open air
concerts
during summer.
Cathedral of St Stephen - Zagreb- the original building was
erected in 1094 but was party destroyed during an earthquake in 1880. Of
interest
are the religious works dating back to the 12th century that have been
preserved here.
Mestrovic Gallery - Ivan Mestrovic was one of the most important
sculptors of the 20th century and almost 300 of his works are on display
here.
Euphrasian basilica - Porec- on the westcoast of Istria this world heritage
site dates back to 6th century. A treasury of Byzantine gold mosiacs
and a 4th century mosaic floor to be marvelled at.
CULTURE
A unique, proud Croatian culture is asserting itself after the struggle
for independence. The coastline and islands have strong Italian/Mediterranean

Plitvice

a long bridge from Kraljevica.Tramp down the path
